Vincent’s Italian Cuisine, New Orleans, LA Report #52

I’m not sure what happened.  I was just perusing past blogs and I realized Report #53, pictures and everything, was posted here!  Today is 4-28-2018 and I dined at Vincent’s back on 11-18-2017.  I’ll give a few thoughts about what I remember from that meal now.  I know it was great.  Always is at Vincent’s.

We started with the Eggplant Salsiccia.  They used to call that an Eggplant Sandwich.  Paneed eggplant slices stuffed with mozzarella cheese and Italian sausage, and covered in a marinara sauce.  Delicious.

One of the house salad dressings is a blue cheese vinaigrette.  It’s pretty good.  A nice departure from the typical, creamy blue cheese dressing.

The pasta dish pictured was the Penne Ala Vodka Vitello.  That was very good.  Probably the best cream style vodka sauce I’ve ever had.

And finally, I love a good Osso Bucco, and this one is utterly delicious.   The demi-glace type sauce is so intense and gelatinous it kind of glues your lips together.  Excellent Osso Bucco.

Great place.  I highly recommend it.

This is the Metairie location, and it’s every bit as delicious as the New Orleans location.

We started off with the crab and corn bisque in a bread bowl, and crawfish bisque complete with a crawfish stuffing stuffed crawfish head.  Both were very good.

Then we decided on these for the rest of our meal:

And here was the food!

Again, everything was delicious.  Loved the fried spinach with the Parmesan crusted shrimp.

The crab cakes and that sauce was outstanding.  You can see the cakes were almost solid jumbo lump crabmeat.

Great place.  I highly recommend it!
