Brown Butter, New Orleans, LA Report #194

This place popped up on my radar as a good place to have breakfast.  After eating there, I agree!  We decided on the Boudin Hash, Grits, Honey Cluck’n Biskit and the Poutine & Eggs.

And here was the food:

Boudin is a pork and rice sausage.  They combined it with chopped potatoes to make the hash, and it was pretty good!  So were the grits.

My dining partner had the chicken / biscuit breakfast.  She loved it.  She said the chicken was fried nice and crisp and seasoned really well.  I wouldn’t know.  She ate it so quick I didn’t get a bite.

The Poutine & Egg dish was described as having a short rib “debris” gravy, which led me to think there would be little shreds of meat in it.  Not the case at all.  It was loaded with short rib meat!  Very good dish.

Great breakfast.  I recommend the place!
