Beautiful place. I love the open kitchen. Let’s you see if they drop your chicken leg on the floor and put it back on your plate!
We decided on:
And the food:
My dining partner wanted the chicken, which didn’t come with a side. My Osso Bucco came with hominy, which I’m not a fan of, so we decided on an order of pasta to split. The waiter said he could upsize the dish to a shareable size, but didn’t mention a price. The price of the spaghetti was $16. I wasn’t really concerned but I was thinking the upsize might make it $20? $22? I was wrong. It was $29. Just something to keep in mind if you’re watching your wallet.
And it was definitely worth it. The spaghetti was delicious! Perfectly al dente with a light but unbelievable flavorful sauce.
Generous order of chicken, too. Five legs. Our waiter said they were steamed then flash fried to make them nice and crisp. I forgot everything else he said they did to them but they were great.
The Osso Bucco also was delicious. The grilled zucchini went great with it, and the hominy was ok. Better than I remembered it from the last time I had it in Menudo or something. The only thing I can complain about was it didn’t come with the little silver spoon to scoop the marrow out the bone. No matter though. I have no shame. I just picked the bone up and sucked it out.
We had the Chocolate Ricotta Cheesecake for dessert. It was like a deconstructed cheesecake, served with a “fior di latte” gelato, with what tasted like a butterscotch drizzle over the top. Since I don’t speak Italian I asked about the gelato. Our waiter said it was basically a sweet cream gelato. And that drizzle over it was honey, and some other stuff I don’t remember. Whatever. All I know was everything was fantastic!
Really great dinner. I highly recommend this place!
