Bienvenue, Harahan, LA Report #348

This place is located in Harahan, which is a small city just west of New Orleans. If you’ve read some of my previous blogs, you know I’m hitting some restaurants which participate in this hotel rewards program. Well, this one was on the list. So in the name of earning reward points towards a free hotel room, we came out here to try it!

We decided on:

The FOOD!

The crab, spinach and artichoke au gratin was delicious! Plenty of crab meat, really good flavor and the pita chips were nice and crisp. Not really an “au gratin” though. I looked up the definition and it basically means topped with breadcrumbs and/or cheese and browned. That wasn’t the case at all, but I still enjoyed it.

The Ferdi was a great poboy. I love a hot roast beef with brown gravy poboy, and this one had just the right amount of gravy. It wasn’t too sloppy. Throw in some ham and swiss and you’ve got some serious good eatin!

The Delta Queen was really a winner. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the alfredo sauce wasn’t too rich. All the fried seafood was seasoned very well. Yummy.

Delicious dinner for my last meal of 2020. I recommend this place. And HAPPY NEW YEAR!
