This place isn’t actually a restaurant, but an importing company. According to their website they import goods from various countries, but it looks like Italy is their favorite. I love buying imported goods. I could spend a fortune in this place.
All that being said, they do serve some food, which is why we came in for lunch today. The only seating is a few tables outside in front of the store.
I don’t know where else you could get cannoli made to order, but while I was there I was lucky enough to catch a young lady in the act of making them! They looked delicious.
But what brought us in was the Cheese Wheel Pasta. They have a huge wheel of parmesan cheese, imported from Italy, cut open to form a bowl. They toss your pasta in it, scraping as they go to incorporate the cheese into it. While waiting in line, the chef cut a few pieces of cheese off the top to give us all a sample. Yummy. And in the last picture above you can see our plate on the right, and our chef slicing some cheese off the wheel to go on top of the pasta. Could anything be more delicious?
We also ordered a half Muffaletta sandwich.
(((((((((((((((((((( THE FOOD ))))))))))))))))))))
The Muffaletta was very good. You can get it hot or cold, but as far as I’m concerned hot is the only way to go. Loved the olive salad on it. The only thing that could have made it better was if the bread was toasted.
The pasta was excellent. We ordered it with Crawfish Alfredo as a topping. You could get pesto, chicken, Italian sausage, and I’m not sure what else on top. Or just have it plain, which would be great! But we really enjoyed it.
Looking forward to coming back to try more of their sandwiches, and some cannoli!
