I have a very dear friend, much older than me, who appreciates the finer things in life. But totally unlike me, she’s filthy rich, so she can afford them. She’s so rich she could have lobster and foie gras sandwiches, with imported Russian caviar mayonnaise, served on gold infused French bread, with fried white truffle chips on the side, and a bottle of 1989 Domaine Georges Roumier Chambolle Musigny le Amoureuses (click on it if you want a bottle), three times a day, EVERY day! She can afford to go to the finest restaurants as often as she wants.
That being said, she comes here! And raves about it! I had to stop in and see what all the fuss was about.
Spacious joint, with outdoor dining on the patio. The soup of the day was Brazilian Shrimp with coconut. I had to give that a try. I also ordered the shrimp salad sandwich.

For a place that I thought was basically a coffee shop, the soup was surprisingly good! Rich and creamy and loaded with shrimp. Topped with toasted coconut. Pretty yummy!
The sandwich was also good. The shrimp salad reminded me of the way they prepare lobster salad to go on lobster rolls. Also very good!
Nice little place for soup and a sandwich, and I understand the coffee is pretty good!
