Moe’s Original Bar B Que, Metairie, LA Report #352

I normally eat healthy Monday through Friday night. That way I don’t balloon up to 300 pounds! But today, my dining partner said it’s a holiday, so we WILL eat bad today. Who am I to argue?

We headed out for pizza at Mark Twain’s, but they were closed. Not because it’s a holiday, but because they’re closed every Monday. Still in the pizza mood, we checked Theo’s, but they were also closed! So we just started driving looking for a place to eat.

Then we passed this place. Again, we had pizza on our brains, but I’m always down for some BBQ. I also had hit the gym and did some weight lifting today, so a high protein carnivorous meal sounded good to me!

One of the specials today was a smoked meatloaf platter. My dining partner got that, with mashed potatoes and white beans. I ordered ribs and pulled pork with baked beans and potato salad. We also ordered the Betsy’s banana pudding for dessert.

The food!

Everything was very good! The meatloaf was seasoned well and very tender and juicy. The ribs and pulled pork were nicely smoked. The corn bread looked like it was grilled like a grilled cheese sandwich. The rest of the sides and the banana pudding, yummy!

Good place for BBQ. Worth a stop!
