Another Orange Beach restaurant at The Wharf, right across the street from Yo Ho Rum & Tacos. I’ve been to this place couple times in the past and it is excellent. Food, service, everything. So we had to eat here for our last night out of town. It also happened to be our anniversary dinner!
We decided on:
%%%%%%%%%% THE FOOD! %%%%%%%%%%
The bread they serve is great, but even better was the dipping oil. Besides parmesan cheese, they add chopped Kalamata olives to the olive oil. You wouldn’t think that simple addition would make that big a difference, but it does. It’s fantastic.
I was a little disappointed in the Arancini. The inside was a kind of dry. I think they might have fried them a little too long. First time I ever had something here that wasn’t outstanding.
My wife ordered her pork chop well done. Makes it kind of challenging to keep it juicy, but she said it was very juicy, tender and delicious. She was also wowed by the mac n cheese. She said it was one of the best dishes she ever had.
No doubt in my mind the seafood pasta was the best seafood pasta I ever had. The picture doesn’t do it justice. You can’t see all the crabmeat, because it’s white, but trust me, there was plenty in there. There was so much seafood I had seafood left over when I finished the pasta! And the scallops were so big I was cutting them in four. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce wasn’t too rich, but just right.
The only thing wrong with the chocolate cake was it wasn’t big enough! I told our waiter that, and he said pieces of chocolate cake are NEVER big enough. He was right.
I can’t recommend this place any higher. If you come to Orange Beach you MUST eat here!
